R&M Edwards Scholarship

Scholarship Grant applications are currently closed. Next open in 2018/19.

The R&M Edwards Scholarship was initiated in 2002 by a generous donation from Mrs Marjory Edwards to set up a perpetual scholarship in conservation biology field research for PhD students.

It is the first of its kind for conservation biology in South Australia.

The scholarship will be used to support a postgraduate student (Masters or PhD) at a South Australian University.

The scholarship will provide $12,000 per annum for up to three years. The proposed research project must fall within the Nature Foundation's objectives and be:

  • High quality scientific research that makes a significant contribution to the conservation of South Australia's biodiversity; or
  • In the field of biological science with a view to the resolution of an environmental problem or the conservation of South Australian wildlife.
