We would love you to join us for this inspirational celebration and fundraiser in honour of Dr Barbara Hardy AO’s enduring and significant contribution to nature conservation and science.  This inspiring event will be held in Adelaide University’s majestic Bonython Hall.

Internationally acclaimed chef Andrew Fielke will create unique cuisine using Australian native ingredients.  Complementing this delicious array of food will be Wines by Geoff Hardy, made with hand-selected, premium fruit grown on sustainably managed vineyards in South Australia. To celebrate Geoff’s mother’s 90th birthday, Wines by Geoff Hardy will be releasing a limited edition Barbara Hardy Shiraz 2016 from McLaren Vale, which will be available for purchase.
 
Our emcee, the iconic Keith Conlon OAM, will ensure a wonderful evening of music, entertainment and fundraising.  All proceeds will help advance nature conservation in South Australia.  

Dr Barbara Hardy AO

Barbara always had a passion for science and loved the outdoors, and it was camping holidays that awakened her concern for the environment. She began voluntary work with the Conservation Council in the 1970s and subsequently advised politicians, represented Australia at environmental forums, and worked with many conservation organisations. Barbara has been awarded numerous honours including Officer of the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO) for her service to conservation and the community.
 
One of Barbara's proudest achievements was the establishment of Nature Foundation SA in 1981 with co-founders David Cleland, Warren Bonython AO and Mark Bonnin AM.  To honour Barbara Hardy's milestone of reaching 90 years, Nature Foundation SA invites you to attend this special birthday celebration.
