Paul Jennings is an Australian marine researcher who serves as the Program Leader for the Kangaroo Island Feral Cat Eradication Program. He began his career on the island managing the marine environment around Kangaroo Island but pivoted to inland wildlife recovery following the devastating Black Summer bushfires.
 
Since the initiative began, it has grown into the world's largest feral cat eradication program on an inhabited island, focusing intensively on the island's Dudley Peninsula. The program has gained widespread recognition for combining cutting-edge technology—such as AI-enabled 4G cameras and remotely monitored trap networks—with detection dogs uniquely trained to locate the last remaining invasive predators.
 
Paul will provide an overview of the Kangaroo Island Feral Cat Eradication Program, covering its history, the measures taken, and the benefits to the natural environment.
