May 02, 2025

The Australian Land Conservation Alliance (ALCA) is running a Conservation Finance Webinar Series, unpacking real-world applications from their Conservation Finance Handbook.

As an ALCA member, Nature Foundation were delighted to be invited to be part of the panel for the Philanthropy & Nature webinar, with CEO Alex Nankivell joining other experts in the field to share and discuss real-world case studies on how giving—from corporate, foundation, and individual donors—is driving investment into nature, and shaping conservation outcomes across Australia.

Other webinar guests featured were:

  • Jody Gunn, Australian Land Conservation Alliance

  • Heather Campbell, Greening Australia

  • Margie Jenkin, Australian Environmental Grantmakers Network (AEGN)

  • Sam Murray, Indigenous Desert Alliance

  • Leanne Robinson, SA Power Networks Employee Foundation

The aim of the webinar was to provide:

  • A clearer understanding of the evolving philanthropic landscape in Australia

  • Practical examples of philanthropic giving in action

  • Insights into how philanthropic giving can catalyse larger-scale conservation finance

Alex and Leanne Robinson from SA Power Networks Employee Foundation provided a shared presentation outlining the successful long term corporate partnership between our organisations.

You can watch a recording of the webinar here. Alex and Leanne's presentation begins at around the 45 minute mark.
