Many thanks to everyone who joined us near Burra yesterday to assist with the population survey of the endangered Pygmy Bluetongue Lizards as part of our Lizard Crawl.

These efforts play a valuable role in monitoring the population health of these incredible little critters.

Yesterday saw a great group of members, donors, supporters, and partners gather at our Para Woodlands Nature Reserve near Gawler to experience and learn about the conservation efforts occurring across the reserve.

The 500-hectare ex-farming property is co-owned and managed by Nature Foundation and the Department of Environment and Water, and contains a number of distinct habitats with their own challenges, opportunities, flora and fauna.

Nature Foundation were in the news this week, with CEO Alex Nankivell and Leading Benefactor Professor Hugh Possingham invited to speak about our Bullock Bridge land acquisition with Becc Chave on the the ABC South East SA Breakfast program.

Recently a few of our team had the opportunity to share their work and experiences with the Wavelength program on Fresh 92.7.

Our 2024 research grants round has recently opened, and we invite applications from students undertaking research in the environmental and nature science fields.

Applications close Sunday 28 April 2024, and successful recipients will be advised by June 2024.
